"Her (Carole's) input was instrumental in bringing more focus and clarity to the Search Committee in regard to the priorities for the organization and the credentials needed for the incoming CEO.  As a result, we were able to reach a decision on a candidate that has been very well received by the staff, clients and broader community.  He has already demonstrated the skills identified by Carole as essential to a leader of this organization."

"Carole Little has been a great inspiration and mentor in my life for several years.  Six years ago when I became the Executive Director for Katy Christian Ministries, Carole was the first person I called for expertise.  Through the years she has advised me on Board Development, Personnel problems and Grant writing.

This year, 2007 I asked her again to do some consulting work.  She took a Saturday and met with my Executive Board to work on a strategic plan for KCM. This was something our board had never participated in, we had strategic plans for each department and the overall ministry, but the board had never been a part of the process. Everyone was so impressed with Carole’s knowledge of non-profits.  They adored her humor and how she brought reality to everything she said.  The Vice President of the board told me later that he learned more about non-profit work that day than ever before.  The Executive Board has become much more involved than before, they needed to hear what Carole had to offer.

I had set my own expectations for the meeting, one being the Executive Board would become more involved and in turn involve the entire board and that expectation was met.  I have a board now that is willing to work and help KCM become the best it can be. They also understand the importance of everything we do.  They truly bought into the strategic  planning.

I would recommend Carole Little to work with any organization.  She has such a passion for helping organizations become the best they can be.  Her experience, expertise and her passion for Capacity Building make for a wonderful leader, facilitator and consultant. I also recommend her as a mentor for new Executive Directors; she has so much to offer that can help others become the leaders they need to be."

Sincerely,

Sandy Faucett

Dear Carole:

Thank you so much for the recent training you provided to my Executive Board on June 8, 2007.  The information and tools on strategic planning was invaluable.  The Board left the training very inspired and looking forward to developing new funding ideas and new community resources.  Besides the formal information you provided, their ability to ask specific questions that apply to our issues was critical to their future development.

We also appreciated the tools provided on board recruitment and retention.  They are already developing a list of skills we need for next year’s board and are developing a list of potential new board members.  This will allow HAAM to take our board to the next level.

Thanks again for all you did for HAAM.

Sincerely,

Diana Garbis
Executive Director HAAM

After working with Carole Little in a professional capacity for more than ten years, I highly recommend her ...   Carole clearly has the expertise, experience and passion that you are looking for.  I have seen Carole single handedly build an organization from a $250,000 a year to a 1.2 million dollar a year organization in 18 months.

Carole’s management of several non profits in the Houston area has given her a level of expertise in the areas of leadership, volunteerism, business ethics, creating partnerships, and increasing performance of non profits.  Smaller organizations that recognize what she has done for other non profits regularly come to her and ask that she mentor them so that they can strengthen their own organizations.

Carole has experience in all aspects of non profit leadership including forming a non profit, articles of incorporation, by-laws, policies and procedures, strategic planning, board development, volunteerism, fund development, financial management, grant compliance, performance measures and evaluation, public relations and sustainability of an organization.

I personally can not think of anyone who would be more equipped to be a coach ...than Carole Little.  She has dedicated her life and her passion to non profits and helping those in need.  It would be a great loss for you not to choose her as one of your coaches and mentors.

Sincerely,
